Happy Sunday Luvs! If you're like me you're winding down from a event filled weekend and getting prepped for the week ahead. But wait, while you still have a few hours left before it's back to the grind make this time count and treat yourself to one last little splurge with a facial mask. My choice this Sunday is Andalou Naturals Avo Cocoa Skin Food Mask. This gluten-free, vegan, non GMO mask is a velvety chocolate treat for your skin. Chocked full of rich goodies like avocado and cocoa the anti aging properties also provides Vitamin E and other antioxidants to feed your dry skin making it soft and supple as well as enhancing cell renewal for a brighter complexion. Plus the smell is incredible! I smoothed it onto my face, throat and neck and rinsed after 10 minutes. This is definitely one that's going to stay in my arsenal! Happy Sunday!

Hola Luvies! I'm in Whole Foods the other day when I walked past the natural beauty section, more specifically the soap bar! Oooh all the bins, bars and balls of soap! One display really caught my attention though. Canus' Goat's Milk Soap. So pretty, so enticing, so fragrant! Lovely little colorful tiles of beautiful soap stacked neatly in rows like rainbow dominoes! And the smells, oh so delicioso! Canus, a skincare company originating in Canada, produces products made with fresh goats milk which moisturizes and softens skin. Think Cleopatra people! The soap can be found at Costco and online at Wahlgreens already prepackaged in limited scents but Whole Foods has the mother lode! Canus and Whole Foods have partnered to offer you the opportunity to buy these little jewels in bulk. You just pick out what calls to you and drop it in one of the handy bags provided. Ingenious I say! Good for you (gluten and phosphate free) and the environment (no wasteful excess packaging) they come in fragrances such as Lemon Verbena, Chocolate Raspberry, Pomegranate and Lavender to name a few. I got the Lemon Verbena (naturally) and Pomegranate and I really like how they make my skin feel after bathing. They're gentle and don't leave a residue behind and they really clean. So share in my obsession people! Get thee to a Whole Foods and load up on some of this goodness. I know I'm going back for more! Until then...

Hello Luvies! I'm a fragrance fiend! I admit it! As the season changes so do my fragrances. I shed the heavy spice ones that are perfect for the winter in favor of more lighter ones that remind me of islands and drinks with little straws in them! Last summer I wore Estee Lauder's Bronze Goddess which I absolutely adored but alas, each summer they change the formula and this years just didn't do it for me. I've recently been obsessing over the smell of citrus and herbs so it was natural that I gravitated to fragrances containing them. Grapefruit, bergamot, lemon and lime are so crisp and energizing and smells sultry on warm sun kissed skin. The first thing I'm raving about was actually a gift from my sister. It's Verbenas of Provence from Jo Malone. The cologne's combination of lemon verbena with small notes of spice and flower are as the website states "summer in a bottle." I wear it alone or when I really want to kick it up a notch I combine it with one of my other Jo Malone fragrances, Lime Basil and Mandarin. I put mines in the refrig and spritz it on after taking a shower. Delish!

Happy Summer Loves! Wow! How have you been? I know, I know. There’s no excuse that will ever explain my absence but believe me when I say I’ve missed you…I’VE MISSED YOU! So let’s do what really, really good friends do. You know the one. That good, good friend that you don’t talk to for a really long time but when you do you pick up right where you left off like it was only yesterday! Oh yeah...that friend! Ok, so in my absence and defense I've had a lot going on that required much of my attention. But during that time I've had opportunity to ponder over particular areas in my life and one of the recurring themes that kept popping up was CHANGE. Like many of you, that’s a hard pill for me to swallow. I tend to be my own worst enemy and dig my heels holding steadfast to the old thing that’s keeping me stagnant. But what I've come to learn and eventually embrace is change in so many ways is good and although I balk, God always has my back. I've come to learn that inevitably change was just the right thing to put me in touch with what’s really needed in this thing called my life and that I would have missed out on some very important life changing opportunities. So with that said I’m going to change a few things about my blog. I’m not going to focus solely on cosmetic beauty but the body beautiful in its totality; inward and outward, mind, body and spirit. So I hope you’ll give plenty of feedback and I'll be able to share a little more of me. So with that said stay tuned and have an awe-inspiring week! Until then...

Hola Luvies! So I was out and about this weekend at one of my favorite pit stops: TAR-ZHAY (Target) trolling the beauty aisles when low and behold on an end cap front and center was a Pacifica display! GASP!!! When did this happen and how did it slip by me? I know I’ve been in Energizer Bunny mode but honestly, how did I miss this??!! Pacifica is an “earth conscious” vegan skin care and fragrance line created by Brooke Harvey Taylor and her husband Billy Taylor. The line contains beauty, body and home fragrances in exotic fragrance blends that are to die for! My personal favorites are the Tuscan Blood Orange, Indian Coconut Nectar and Mediterranean Fig. I've tried some of the other fragrances but these are by far my favorite. I've used the body butters which are pretty creamy and the roll on perfumes which are a light and airy and are a nice little pick me up throughout the day if you want to toss one in your purse.

Hey Luvies! I'm on my way out the door and want to give you a quick update on today's lip. In honor of tomorrow's anticipated matchup between The Baltimore Ravens and New England Patriots I've adorned my pout with Sephora's Rouge Shine Lipstick in Crush (#208A). That's right, CRUSH, as in what we're going to do to the Brady Bunch. Lol! Happy Saturday folx!
